This exhibition, the very first to open in the 21st century at one minute past midnight on January 1st, 2001, summoned the efforts of every curatorial department at the SFMOMA to realize an exhibition (two full floors of the museum) that explored the aesthetic dimension of technological concepts that bear on contemporary life.
